Careers at VenturusEQ
We are five people in New York, every one of us with time in manufacturing, building one product: estimating and quoting software for machine shops and fabricators. If you have run operations, quoted work or built software that people depend on, and you would rather show a thing working than describe it, we would like to hear from you.
How we work
Everything we do goes into VenturusEQ, and it exists to price real work, so a wrong number is a wrong price. A change merges when the automated tests, the browser tests, the analyzers and the accessibility check all pass, and when it can be shown working rather than described. There is no layer between the person who builds a feature and the estimator who uses it.
The five kinds of experience we look for
- Manufacturing operations. People who have run a shop, a cell or a plant and know what a quote costs when it is wrong.
- Estimating. People who have priced machined, sheet-metal, fabricated or assembled work and can tell a sound template from a flattering one.
- .NET. Engineers who build server-rendered web applications in C# on PostgreSQL and treat tests as part of the feature, not a chore after it.
- CAD geometry. Engineers who have worked with Open CASCADE, STEP and IGES, meshes and DXF, and who would rather label a number as estimated than let it pass as exact.
- Front-end. People who build dense, keyboard-first screens for estimators, and 3D viewers that stay accessible, in HTML that still reads with scripts off.
[PLACEHOLDER: open roles]
If nothing is listed, write anyway. We read every message and keep the ones that fit in mind for the next role.
Tell us what you have built or run
No CV needed to start, and no attachments: tell us in a few lines what you have made, run or shipped, and what you would want to work on here. We will ask for the rest.
