Work one RFQ through VenturusEQ yourself
A customer has sent a package: a drawing, a model, a parts list, a ZIP with two more drawings, and an email asking for 25 and 50 pieces. Take it from the inbox to an accepted quote in the window below. The shop, the files and the rates are made up; the decisions and the arithmetic are the product's. Nothing you do here leaves your browser.
Step 1 of 7
The customer's package arrives
The email came with attachments. Nothing has been retyped: every file was fingerprinted, given a role and scanned as it arrived. One of them is a ZIP.

The record (1 entries)
- 08:14 Package received from Harbor Pump Works (example): 5 files hashed, classified and scanned.
Seven steps, about five minutes. The window keeps its state while you move between steps; Start over resets it.
What you are doing at each step
- The package arrives. Every attachment is fingerprinted, given a role and scanned. You unpack the ZIP and see that a duplicate is recognized rather than stored twice.
- The drawing is read. The read proposes the part number, material, size, holes, tolerance, finish and heat treat with a confidence each. You confirm, edit or reject them. Only a confirmed value can reach a price, and if you reject the material the model's mass stays unknown in the next step.
- The model is measured by the product's own CAD kernel. You highlight a hole group and measure the length; each number says whether it is exact or estimated.
- Quote lines are created from the drawings, the model and the parts list, with quantities carried across. A part-number disagreement between the file name and the title block is put to you rather than resolved silently.
- The line is costed two ways, from your worksheet and from the confirmed geometry. You pick the basis and set the margin; the prices are built by the product's pricing arithmetic and carry into the next step.
- The customer accepts online. You send the quote, then switch to the buyer's page, decline a line if you like, and accept. The accepted document is frozen with a hash.
- The board learns. The accepted quote appears on the estimating board. A person records the award, because acceptance alone never marks a quote won.
