What VenturusEQ does with an RFQ, from the package to the accepted quote

VenturusEQ is estimating and quoting software for manufacturers. It reads every file in the RFQ package, measures the model and reads the print, costs the work in your own shop rates, sends a quote your customer can accept online, and records the outcome with a reason. Nothing is priced from an upload alone; an estimator confirms every proposed value before it touches a price.

The five stages an RFQ goes through

One package record travels through all five stages. Underneath them sit security and data ownership and the signed hand-offs to your other systems on the integrations page.

The package is read before anyone types

An RFQ becomes a package with a number created for it. Each file is hashed, given a role (drawing, model, specification, purchase order, parts list, archive or source email), unpacked from its ZIP with lineage kept, and marked with a scan state. A deterministic brief says what arrived, what is covered and what is missing.

  • 27 file types, 384 MB per file, 700 MB per request
  • The same bytes twice means "seen before", not a second copy
  • Withdrawn with a reason, never deleted

The print is read and the model is measured

The AI reads the PDF sheet and returns the title block, material, holes with threads, tolerances with datums, finishes, heat treat, welds and notes, each with a confidence. An open-source CAD kernel inside the product measures STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG and STL, each number badged exact or estimated. Every value waits for an estimator to confirm it.

  • Threads come from the print, never guessed from the solid
  • The drawing is paired to its model by evidence, not file order
  • 35 manufacturability rules with your own thresholds

The work is costed two ways, in your own rates

One cost line is the estimator's worksheet in the shop's own rates. The other is costed from confirmed geometry and shows where each number came from. One click prices both and the estimator picks, line by line. Every entry is a quantity times a unit cost or hours times a rate, in five buckets, and the product ships no rates.

  • Up to 30 quantity breaks, setup amortized per break
  • Target margin or markup, with a per-line override
  • Templates must validate before they go live

The quote is built, sent and accepted online

The quote is built in a spreadsheet-like grid with one editor per line, a review queue whose rules can act, and revisions that carry forward. Submitting freezes the baseline. The buyer opens a signed link from your own mailbox, picks a quantity break, declines a line if they wish, and accepts with a PO number. The acceptance is frozen as a document; a person on your side awards it.

  • Eight quote statuses and saved views
  • No-quote lines print "No quote" with the reason
  • Controlled quotes never get a public link

The outcome is recorded with a reason and feeds the analytics

Every outcome is recorded as won, lost or no-bid with a reason, a probability and the competitor. The control center shows the queue, your work, the pipeline board and a win-loss dashboard with win rate by account, process and estimator, three cycle clocks and a probability-weighted forecast. Quote-vs-actual accuracy compares the awarded estimate with actual cost, bucket by bucket, and nudges without rewriting a template.

  • Periods of 30, 90 and 365 days
  • A quote log for the year, exported to CSV or XLSX
  • Advisory only: nothing writes back to a template

What it does for owners, estimators, managers and buyers

Owners

Every number on a quote can be traced to the line, the rate and the file it came from, every controlled open is on a ledger you can verify, and your data comes back in open formats on request.

Estimators

The package is read before you type. Two cost lines to pick from, one editor per line, and the print beside the model.

For estimators →

Estimating managers

The queue, My Work, review rules that act, the three cycle clocks (received to draft, draft to sent, sent to order) and win rate by estimator, in one control center.

For estimating managers →

Buyers

A quote page you act on: pick a quantity, decline a line, accept with a PO, and keep a frozen copy of what you agreed.

Common questions

Will it price a part straight from the CAD file?

No. The model is measured and the print is read, and both produce proposals with a confidence. An estimator confirms each value before it can enter a formula; a formula that reaches for an unconfirmed geometry value fails rather than pricing quietly. Method proposals are never auto-selected either.

Does it come with rates, or do we enter our own?

Your own. The product ships no rates, no benchmarks and no price list. Your work-center rates, material price lists and process templates are entered once, and every price is built from them, with the rate that answered recorded on the line.

How does my customer receive and accept a quote?

By email from your own Microsoft 365 mailbox, configured for your deployment, with a link to a quote page that needs no sign-in. There they pick a quantity break, decline a line if they wish, download the PDF and accept with their name, email, title and PO number. The acceptance is frozen line by line, and your staff award the quote.

Once we win the quote, does it create the job or the sales order?

Yes. Through the connection to your ERP, the won quote becomes the order, job or project your system expects, and the award fires a signed quote.won webhook carrying the quote id and number, the RFQ id, the revision, the awarded total and currency, the previous status, who awarded it and when, for anything else that needs to know.

Send us a drawing and a model you have already quoted and we will walk through it with you in the product, in your rates. If you would rather look first, the interactive demo is open, with no form in front of it.
