The print, the model and the price in one place
Today a line is a PDF in one window, a model in a viewer, a spreadsheet, a folder and an email thread. The numbers travel between them by hand: a hole count from the print into the sheet, a stock size from the model into the sheet, a vendor price from an email into the sheet.
In VenturusEQ the line is one place. The print, the model, the proposals from the read and the measurement, the method, the materials, the price and the vendor replies live in an eight-tab workspace on the line. What you confirm is written to a ledger with the evidence, who and when.
The decisions stay with you: which setup, which stock, which rate, whether to quote at all. Nothing is priced from a value you have not looked at.

A grid that feels like a spreadsheet
In-place cells, Tab, Enter and Escape as you expect, drag to reorder, Alt and arrow keys to move a line, and a file dragged onto a line to attach it. Bulk edits change status, estimator, material, template or quantities on many lines at once.
The confirm step
Every value from the AI read or the model arrives as a proposal with a confidence. You confirm, edit or reject it in the page. Confirmations are ledgered with source, method, confidence, who and when.
Two cost lines in your rates
Your worksheet in your rates beside the cost built from the confirmed geometry, with where each number came from recorded. Price both in one click and pick per line. The rate arm used is recorded on the line.

One editor per line
A line is free, mine, someone else's or taken from me. Take-over is visible, and a company-set timeout releases a line left open, so two people never overwrite each other.
A PDF viewer and a 3D viewer that measure
The PDF viewer rotates, fits, searches text, shows a sheets rail and measures after a two-click calibration. The 3D viewer measures distance, angle and radius, isolates, explodes, shows PMI and highlights a hole group.
How you work a line from opening it to setting its status
Open the line
The thumbnail, the paired drawing and model, and any health badge are on the row. Reads and measurements run in a background queue, and a file that is held or flagged is never read or measured.
Confirm the read
Material, holes with threads, tolerances with datums, finishes, heat treat and notes, each with a confidence. Confirm what is right, fix what is not, and note what the print never said.
Check the model
Bounding box, volume, holes grouped by size, bends, setups and the turning profile, each with an exact-or-estimated badge. Isolate a body or highlight a hole group to be sure.
Pick the method
A proposal offers one operation per detected setup with drilling and tapping rows from the hole groups. Take it, edit it or write your own from a template.
Build both cost lines
Price your worksheet and the geometry-based cost together. Compare, choose per line, set quantity breaks and a per-line margin override if the house default is wrong for this part.
Set the status and the notes
Move the line through its work status, which drives the quote percent. Write an internal note or a customer-visible one. No-quote a line with a reason that prints on the document.
Common questions
Will it price the part for me?
No. It reads the print and measures the model, then proposes values with a confidence and a method with one operation per detected setup. You confirm what enters the price; a formula cannot use a value you did not confirm.
Do I have to give up my spreadsheet?
Not on day one. The manual worksheet reproduces hours times rate and markup by department, and it sits as its own tab on the line beside the cost the engine builds from the confirmed geometry through your templates. One click prices both, in your rates, and you choose per line which one the quote uses. The engine never reads the worksheet.
What if the print and the model do not match?
The drawing is paired with a model by evidence: a bound file, the read title block, dash-number variants, the file name, the folder. When the read title block says a different part number, you get a relabel offer with the evidence and choose to relabel or keep.
